Zonar Vehicle Inspection Reports for WinMo
Zonar Systems announced the release of a Windows Mobile version of its Electronic Vehicle Inspection Report System, or EVIR. The new rev allows fleet managers to integrate the Zonar System with pre-existing handheld devices. With EVIR, vehicle inspections are captured electronically, wirelessly uploaded to secure servers, and accessed via a web-based Telematics application. Handheld devices can now use RFID tags, barcodes, or similar technology to visit "zones" around the vehicle and inspect components as prompted by the device. Each scanned token creates a time stamp that verifies the inspection was completed and documents the amount of time the operator spent in each zone.
