Trimble announces Q3 2024 financials
Trimble reported revenue of US$875.8 million in Q3 of 2024 compared to US$957.3 million in Q3 of 2023, down 9% year over year. GAP net income for Q3 2024 was US$40.6 million compared to US$74.9 million for Q3 2023. For the full-year 2024, Trimble now expects to report GAAP revenue between $3,625 million and $3,665 million. "Record annualized recurring revenue of $1.94 billion and record gross margin of 65.0% in this third quarter demonstrate progression of the Connect & Scale strategy," said Rob Painter, Trimble's president and CEO. "We continue to progress our Connect & Scale strategy with the recently announced Mobility divestiture, which will further simplify and focus our business." What happend in rugged computing 15 years ago: November 2009
In November 2009, Durabook (then GammaTech) unveiled its Durabook R13S convertible Tablet PC, while Juniper Systems launched the TK6000, a tough ultra-rugged handheld for extreme environments. Rugged Tablet PC company Xplore raised $3.21 million in private placement. Motorola released the MC3100, successor to best-selling MC3000 rugged wireless mobile computer. Intermec reported third quarter 2009 revenues of $159 million. Samwell introduced the space-saving Intel Atom-powered MCA9. Toshiba announced additions to its 1.8-inch Serial ATA HDD product line for demanding applications. Psion Teklogix began shipping their handhelds as "Stay-Linked Ready".
