AZUZA, Calif., USA — April 12, 2019 — ProCustom Group (PCG) has announced the official release of their Ruggedized External Blu-Ray/DVD Drive. The MIL-DVD provides a rugged solution for reading and writing recordable media in the field. By isolating and sealing a high-quality multi-format DVD-R/W (P/N PCG-DVD-EXT-S) or Blu-ray (P/N PCG-BLU-EXT-S) transport mechanism in a rugged machined aluminum case protecting the drive from shock and vibration found in deployed conditions. When the front access door is closed, the MIL-DVD is sealed from dust and driving rain. The MIL-DVD is and is designed to meet MIL-STD 810G. The system is significantly more robust and environmentally protected than other commercially available systems. The Rugged DVD compliments ProCustom Group's other accessories, including their NVIS Filters, MILSPEC Power Supplies and Vehicle/Track/Aircraft Mounts.
