Tablet Kiosk Sahara i213

An elegant tablet PC slate
(by Conrad H. Blickenstorfer)

The US importer of the PaceBlade slate (whose parent is no more) offers the quite remarkable Sahara i213 pen slate made by Amtek. You'd swear it was made by Apple as uses the same style elements as an iPod and some iBooks. It even comes with a variety of colorful optional rubber boots that perpetuate the Apple illusion. However, the Sahara i213 is a Tablet PC slate that competes with the likes of Motion and Fujitsu. Despite its playful elegance, the i213 is a technologically up-to-date Tablet PC slate with excellent connectivity and a slew of interesting accessories and peripherals such as an elaborate and beautifully designed portrait/landscape docking station with additional connectivity. Tablet Kiosk may not have the name recognition of Fujitsu or Motion Computing, but the Sahara is a serious product and a contender.
